It is my pleasure to offer you this handpainted polychrome Delft Bowl produced by Raam Delfter Faïence.
About the same time that the famous RAM Plateelbakkerij in Arnhem stopped production in 1945, RAAM Delfter Faïence was founded. The similarity in names was not coïncidental because Raam took over much of the RAM moulds and designs and many of their best employees in 1945. Like RAM, RAAM had a brilliant Blue Delft similar to that of the Porceleyne Fles and Makkum and they made a very high quality handpainted Delftware.
RAAM also produced polychrome items and the colors fully match the Porceleyne Fles colors. When comparing several items on color and decoration the similarity in color is amazing.
All RAAM items are fully marked at the underside. This bowl shows the mould# 179 P, a crown, "ORIGINAL DELFT Polychrome", the factory mark (a windmill), "Handpainted" and the painters signature: G. Paks.
Have a close look at it and judge for yourself the high quality of this handpainting: Second to None !
