It is my pleasure to offer you this Set of 4 antique Serving Bowls produced by WACHTERSBACH Earthenware Factory in Schlierbach Germany.
Count Adolf at Ysenburg founded the Wachtersbach Earthenware Factory in Schlierbach Germany in 1832. Only from 1874, after Schlierbach was connected to the railroad and Max Roesler was appointed manager, the factory grew into one of the leading earthenware producers. In 1909 the factory was converted into a limited liability company and is still in existence.
This set consists of 4 bowls which form a circular serving composition. The bowls are marked with the Wachtersbach Beehive in a triangle saying: "GESCHüTZT, REGISTERED, DÉPOSÉ" and various imprinted production letters and an imprinted hallmark (beehive). This "Registered"-stamp was used between 1894 and 1906.
